Did you know that Rodin was an avid reader? The links between Rodin's works and literature and poetry will be brought to light in a number of activities. On this 19th edition of the Night of the Museums, come and discover or rediscover the Musée Rodin, its works and its gardens by night, revealed by an exceptional lighting display.
The Rodin Museum will also have the pleasure of presenting a new large-scale work to the public in the sculpture garden. The Victor Hugo nu, debout has been added to the permanent collections thanks to the generous donation from the Pierre Gianadda-Martigny Foundation.
Musical recitals in the sculpture garden
Around the sculptures representing Victor Hugo, the actor and director Laurent Soffiati and the musician Arnaud Rouanet invite you to share the convictions and emotions of the great poet.
Compagnie Idéal Cinéma : Laurent Soffiati (lecture) and Arnaud Rouanet (music).
From 6 pm to 11 pm, every 30 minutes. In the undergrowth of the sculpture garden.

Writing workshop and participative musical performance
In the exhibition rooms, you will compose a few sentences inspired by the sculptures. In the main hall, your words will be collected and fed into a collaborative sound installation.

Picnic in the Sculpture Garden
Come and picnic on the lawns of the sculpture garden with your family or friends. You can bring your own lunch or enjoy the café-restaurant l'Augustine of the Rodin Museum, which will be open all evening.

Throughout the evening, students from the École du Louvre will accompany you on your nocturnal stroll to discover Rodin's masterpieces.
