Institutional archives
Since the creation of the museum in 1919, it has pursued the guiding principle initiated by the artist by preserving from the very outset the institutional archives, witnesses of its century-long history under 8 successive directorships. The following documents are in French.
Documentation
The documents files allow researchers to approach in many different ways the artist and the history of his institution. These documentary files can be divided in 6 groups : files on artworks, bibliographies of each work, French and Foreign public collections, files on 'People' and Rodin's contemporaries, files on 'subjects' and Rodin's main subjects of interest, and files on exhibitions. Get in touch to consult these documents.
